My neighbors in East Swope Highlands aren't ready to just sit back and allow drug dealers and criminals to move into our neighborhood and take over.

An operation of car thieves and dope dealers moved into a commercial building at the corner of 67th and Richmond last Fall and we immediately went to work on getting rid of them.

The "All Night Upholstery Shop" was only open at night and had a lot of traffic, but something just seemed wrong. our neighbors started getting together with DART, COMBAT and the Kansas City Police Department to look into the situation.

After a shoot-out in the streets we decided we had enough and really started putting the pressure on. Within a few weeks the place was raided and the drug-dealing, car thieves were gone from our otherwise peaceful neighborhood.

How do you get rid of drug dealers with benefits?  We have a major prescription drug dealer in South Huntsville, Alabama that seems to be untouchable even though law enforcement knows of him.  Tony Lee of Lee Builders, son of Bruce Lee is about 35 and has been dealing drugs since high school.  If you need pain killers or cocaine, he is the go-to guy.  I don't know where he is supplied from, but he has ample sources for prescription drugs.  His dad even funds him.  He is a superitendent on construction jobs with his dad's company and makes good money but sells drugs on the side.  Through his connections with construction, he has several workers spreading his drugs and has been known to accept stolen weapons in trade for drugs when he finally milks his addicts of their available cash.  The papers are full of drug busts for some country bumpkin trying to ink out a living on drugs, but this guy seems to be allowed to sell without harrasment since he is from money.

Please post suggestions that have worked in your area.

Don't pass judgement on those who's life you don't understand (even though it seems like they are wrong). Thank you

I am not talking about the drug addict, I am talking about the drug dealer that ruins the lives of the addict and everyone around them. The addict becomes a person you would never want to know and steals, cheats, lies, and will do anything to provide his drug dealer with the funds to keep him supplied in drugs. The drug dealer starts the chain. The drug addict has a sickness that they can't control and the dealer plays on that. If you know of a drug dealer, you owe it to your fellow neighbors to report them to the police and anyone else who will listen.
