New Houses

New houses, cont'd.

Mark, do you know if Nate Cloud or anyone in the Civic Assoc. was told about this construction before it started??
I've put phone calls in to the County Land Use Development Dept. and to Bob Weiner's office to try to determine just what is involved in getting permission to blast as well as where the liability lies should something happen to anyone's house as a result of the blasting. If I don't also get stonewalled, I'll let you know what I find out.
Info on Mill Race construction

I drove by 8 Mill Race Rd. on my way home and there is a permit posted which only reads ''8 Mill Race Road Description: SFD Hartfield'' We suspect SFD is single family dwelling. What Hartfield is... the name of the buyer maybe? There are no builders in Delaware under that name. I got a return call today from Bob Weiner's assistant Lou Hinkle who only had info on 8 Mill Race Road and that it was for a home. I told him the concerns over the blasting and he said he had asked that of the Land Use Dev. Dept. and is awaiting a call back about whether they were aware there was blasting going on and that there should have been notices posted. I told him there were no ''blasting'' notices posted. I don't want to keep this family from building their house, I just want the name of the company in case something results from the blasting. And I'm still wondering why no one informed the Civic Assoc. about the construction.
More on construction

Bob Weiner's legislative assistant, Lou Hinkle, has been trying to find out more about the blasting. He says the County Land Use Dept. told him it was aware of the construction and that the proper postings had been made. I told Lou that not only had I not seen any posting about blasting, but that the Civic Assoc. was never told about blasting and the only thing posted is the building permit for 8 Mill Race for (''Description:'') ''SFD Hartfield''. There were two letters of complaint filed with the Land Use Dept.... one from a Peter Renzetti of West Chester and one from a woman with the Naaman's Creek Assoc. (?). The next Land Use & Planning Bd. Public Hearing is scheduled for March 2nd. Do we have any representation willing to attend and ask questions there??
