We have lost two outdoor cats this year. The first, "Turtle" went missing the first week of January . He was a neutered male, short hair , gray with tiger stripes, sad eyes, green. Very friendly. He would have been 2 this November.  He did not wander far from our back yard. He has had collars and flea collars but lost everthing we put on him. We thought his chances as an outside cat were slim so when he went missing, we thought it is just the odds of putting your animals outside. We have another outside cat "Tia" that was last seen on our front porch April 18 around 9 P.M. She was a 4 year old spayed cat. She has long hair, tiger striped, green eyes, very small frame. Both cats are extremely friendly and were street smart. Please let us know if anyone has seen them. The "stray" cats we usually see around the neighborhood are not around anymore either. We have put flyers around the neighborhood and are checking the pound and Humane Society regularly.

 Tia returned last night. Such a happy reunion. We are on our way to get her chipped. She will have a collar on at all times too. Turtle still missing...

I am glad your cat came back.  We just moved in here in Feb. and have two indoor cats.  They want to go outside and keep trying to persuade me.  It is hard and annoying at times.  I don't see any pets wandering around here, though.  I'm sure it isn't a good idea to give in to their pleas. I hope you find your other cat.  My Dad used to say that if you feed a cat you can't get rid of it.  Maybe your cat has just gone on an extended vacation and will be back soon.
