The proposed realestate tax increase of a maxium of 25%,by Mayor Bloomberg is supposed to help close the City's deficit.What do you think of this proposal in light of the fact that New York City residents were not made aware that there was a deficit over the past 8 years?

I think this tax increase is a nightmare . We do not need our taxes increased, why don't they cut some of these big businesses and stop picking on the middle class to save the day all the time?

Why was there no community hearings about this before it was passed? What happened to Guiliani's surplus?
I get sick to my stomach when this mayor gets away with this type of things. The City Council has no feet to stand on and they will see what the home owners have to say come voting time!
