Code Enforcement, Anyone?

Posted in: Woodlake Estates
City of Norman is involved

The latest welcome news from our City officials is that Code Enforcement crews will be taking a proactive stance on code violations (fineable offenses) by no longer waiting for complaints to come in, but rather sending crews around to check for homes with weed problems or with debris in front yards, etc. This simply means that folks with troubles keeping a clean look to the yard in our neat neighborhood will be contacted by the city first in many instances, instead of by WEHA. WEHA will do it's best however, to first warn folks in violation, to give them a chance to avert a city fine.

Does that include barking dogs?

Dogs left outside that bark all night are a nightmare! Can't the owners hear? Or are don't they are?

we all care

In most cases, it's not that barking dog owners don't care, it's likely more of a case of lost sensitivity to the constant din of your own dog's voice. Best remedy is a friendly phonecall to offenders. If that doesn't work, the city code enforcers can step in.
