Yesterday, 3 kids were caught taking walkway lights, small flags and other yard items from several homeowners properties.  A homeowner on Mystery Rose was being observant and noticed the kids along with their vehicle.  The homeowner was able to get a license number and relayed the information to the Avondale State Police. 

The police ran a search of the plates and located the 3 kids at their home.  They live in a development that is 10 minutes away. 

The police and all 3 kids showed up at our house at 1:30 am to return the items taken.  After a lengthy conversation with the police...we felt that these kids were taking the items as a prank on a friend.  The police believe that these kids are not the ones who have been involved in the car thefts.  We also received an apology letter in our mailbox this morning.  Hopefully, all homeowners affected received the same letter.

We have the names of the 3 individuals and a contact number.  All three were home from college on Sping Break. 

Until, we decide as a community if we are going to proceed with forming a neighborhood watch..I think it is important for us to watch out for each other!!  I would personally like to thank our neighbors on Mystery Rose for taking action and getting the necessary information to the police to locate these kids quickly.  I can tell you they were scared!

 Again, remember to keep your car doors locked and lights on!!!
