It is a horrible thing to see crime scene tape anywhere. It is unfair to say that renters are the cause for bringing the community down. There are major issues that are being addressed in our subdivision and throughout Charlotte as to the increase in crime in our area. What we need to do is exactly what has been done continue to work towards building a cohesive unit from within and not attacking individuals for not having their name on the deed. Renters as well as homeowners are governed by the covenants and restriction as recorded with the registar of deeds. Increase awareness of a active HOA and crime watch is a step in the right direction. Let's build our community not tear it down from within.

Response to Renters

By no means am I attacking all renters I simply believe that the home owners are not properly screeening the renters to make sure the are appropriate. I too was a renter at one point and I treated the property as if it was my own with pride. Just because you bring forth money does not mean you are a qualified individual. There are way too many issues and majority of it stems from renters unfortunately.
We all do need to work as a team. I get very involved with things in this community however way too often I go to these neighborhood meetings and find only a few attendees that needs to change and change now before this community becomes and upscale ghetto.
