home security systems?

Hi there, we too are concerned with the break-ins in our neighborhood and have gotten to know most of our neighbors well. We were all wondering if the homes that were broken into had security sytems and/or the security system signs posted in their yards? My husband and I have a security system but our neighbor does not and she was wondering if that helped to decide who's home was broken into or not. Please let me know! Thank you.
also... from what I've read, if we see suspicious behaviors do we call 911 or 311? (Not that we have, just curious to be ready!) Thanks again!

Break-ins

Hi Lauren,

I am part of the Neighborhood watch. The break-ins have been in homes with alarms and I believe homes with no alarms. Apparently these guys stake out certain areas watching the coming and goings of homeowners. We all need to be vigilant in keeping eyes open around here. These guys sit in their cars and watch. Description of cars so far are a red sportscar, a white van and some other type older car. If you spot anyone just sitting in their cars that looks suspicious, just call 911 and report it. They are aware of what's going on around here. Then report it to the Neighborhood watch committee asap so we can alert others.
