My husband and I had a few friends over saturday night and we were all sitting on our back porch. We live on the dead end of Cedar Springs and Elm Forrest. We all noticed someone suspiciously walking from the woods behind our house up the dead end of elm forrest. The elderly lady accross the street from us (Jerry) told us that she leaves for the summer to go to colorado. She has several cats that are fed by another neighbor. We watched this suspicious person walk up elm forrest rd and up Jerry's driveway into her backyard. We immidiately walked up the road and into her driveway when we saw this person standing behind a tree in her backyard. This was around 3am in the morning and so when we pointed at him he took off running into the woods. He was wearing either denim or kahiki pants and a navy or black t-shirt. We called the police. Just wanted to let everyone know to be on the look out. Because otherwise, this person would have most likely broken into her house.

Not a problem! I would hope someone would do the same for me! The police drove up and down the road for awhile, but their only advice was to ''move to the Balentine area''. But I think we're just going to install a home securtiy system. I would urge everyone to do the same. Or even just putting the home security sign in your yard I think would deter people even if you don't have the system. Who is going to knowingly break into a house that is believed to have an alarm system?

Yes, it is a good idea to have a security system installed. We have CPI, they actually are really good. I will be glad to give you the contact for them.

As far as moving,Ballentine has their share of problems too. We just need to keep doing the right things to take back our neighborhood. Keeping our eyes open, making eye contact with people and calling the police when we need them.

I hope you will come to the cook out Saturday. I feel there will be some people there to help us with our goal.
