Jacob Collins, 12-yr old son of Karen and Scott Collins (McNair Rd) and grandson of Tom and Laura Hopkins (McKenna Ct) will be a contestant on Kid's Jeopardy Wednesday night, 1/8/03 at 7:00pm. He will also be promoting the Jeopardy show all this week during the 7-8:00 hour.
Jacob went to the tryouts in Atlanta in the early spring and competed against 150 students his age for a chance to be on the show. Six of these competitions were held around the US to get the 15 students for the program. Jacob was selected and given air fare and accommodations for himself and his family in Los Angeles in November when they filmed the show. Karen, Scott, and Zachardy (Jacob's 10-yr old brother) and Granddad Tom all went to LA. Watch closely and you can see Karen and Scott go up to the stage, and Tom and Zachary in the audience.
