Greenway

Posted in: Merry Oaks
Parks and Rec has done a good job of keeping it cut but it may take a while for them to remove the storm debris.
Although Masonic is in the Plaza Midwood N'hood Association area, we appreciate all neighbors, walkers and bikers from both sides of the creek who have been keeping an eye on the area.
Be advised that the bucket in the creek was there for a reason, so that water would be available for plants. If the person who cut the rope to the bucket would retrieve the bucket or replace it, we'd appreciate it.
Thank you to Stenhouses

Thank you! the Stenhouses will be keeping the greenway circle watered during hot summer months.
All of us together can make a huge difference. To see some other community improvement efforts, see the garden at Plaza Midwood Park; the community garden at Oakhurst school (go past school, turn left just past traffic light); the Sheffield Park near Evergreen Nature Preserve which also serves as outdoor classroom for Winterfield Elementary.
Thanks to Scott and Jim Bookout

The bushes planted at the Arnold entrance were donated and planted by Scott and will make the entrance much more attractive. They also planted an awesome amount of new plants on the Merry Oaks trail leading to the school.
Pine straw to mulch and conserve moisture was donated by Jim Bookout.
