Planting Suggestions 2003

Posted in: Fox Chase
First of all, thank you to those who have already volunteered your time for our ''Monumental Saturday''! It was great to hear from you and we're glad that you care enough to show your support. A few of you have suggested even more than just pansies and pine straw. Perennials, in the form of daylillies and other plants have been suggested. This will be a cost effective way to maintain the look of the landscaping year after year. This is great! Please feel free to post your ideas and let this be a forum for our ideas on how to make this a great looking monument. Thanks again for your ideas. Keep them coming!

Planting Suggestion

I'd like to recommend 2 Buddelia, or butterly bushes. They are drought resistant, have colorful blossoms and attract butterflies! I've seen them used successfully by NCDOT on Hwy 16. They cut them all the way back every year and they come up again just beautifully.
