We are interested in feedback about Wilmore becoming an Historic District. WNA is hopeful that such a designation will slow down or stop rapid, thoughtless development and destruction of our beautiful historic homes. Wilmore is proud to be one of the oldest neighborhoods in Charlotte. Once that historic fabric is lost, it cannot be regained. We feel it is worth the small sacrafice that being a Historic District entails to ensure that our neighborhood remains in tact as our parents and grand-parents remember it.
