Northwind Farms II

A home on Altavue, near Rolling Road, has had a huge pile of mulch that has been in the road in front of their house for over a month, now. I guess they don't want it in thier yard so they have decided to share it with the rest of us by dumping it in the street. Maybe they are leaving it there with the hopes it will eventually wash all over the street and away from their house????

Mulch on Altavue

I will contact the residents and inquire about their mulch. In addition I will contact Zoning and see if there is a restriction. We had another resident who had a pile of stone in the street (Lee Dr). When he was approached he moved it right away. I'll ask this week (10/22-26) and post the reply. Thank you. Mulch on Altavue

I've spoken to the residents. They just recently spread more mulch on a front garden. They're trying to reduce the pile but they have three small active children, their priority. They will try to reduce the pile further in the near future. They feel they may have ordered too much and will talk to their neighbor about taking some of the mulch. They are now aware that residents are asking questions about the length of time the pile has been there so I'm hopeful they will be more proactive. Thank you. Denise Stanco, vice president, CGIA.
