I think the fact that this debate is so heated proves that it is not a mole hill... but just so I can do my own research and get myself all worked up, so I can contend.... how do I get to see the platt book?

Thanks Mr. Norris

but...... LOL I am a beginner! This is my very first house ever and I don't even know what a plat IS.  Can you tell me where to go once I go to that website, and maybe tell me what I am looking for. Is it text, a map, or something else?  Sorry!

BTW, Chris Tong was not the original President of the HOA unless he annointed himself as such.  Northwood Hills has never had an active HOA, has never had a president and Tong was never elected president by the members of the HOA since there was never a vote. (Not to mention the Tongs are not even "IN" so it would have been illegal if he had been elected.)

Furthermore, Chris Tong has know all along that his section is not IN so he should have seen that a legal member had gotten the money.  Apparently the money was used for his section which is not included in the deal.

Several years ago there was an attempt to make the HOA an active one. Just like this time, it was instigated by Chris Tong who is among the  people who CANNOT legally belong to it, who DO NOT have to follow the rules, pay dues or be subject to a lien being placed on their property. There was an uproar regarding the unfairness of a HOA under these circumstances and it was droppped.  Why Tong and his wife wanted to start the mess up again is beyond me.

You are wrong about the deception. There are some homeowners out here and THEY know who they are that did not want to inform the bulk of the homeowners that a large number of people were exempt from the HOA.  They deliberately wanted to keep it from being known.

So Mr. Norris you can get off your high horse and judgmental attituded regarding a subject that you clearly don't know the facts and history about.
