The  Organization of Westside Neighbors (OWN) represents approximately 8,000 residents located in the historic Westside of Colorado Springs. It was founded in 1978 to address local neighborhood issues and concerns including planning, zoning, development, street lights and roads.

OWN holds board meetings on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM, at the  West Intergenerational Center at 1628 West Bijou Street (Corner of 17th). Town Meetings are held three times a year and offer residents a chance to participate in their neighborhood organization.

OWN publishes the "Westside Story" newsletter and mails it to approximately 8,000 addresses. We welcome articles and information on local happenings.

If you reside within the OWN boundaries, you are automatically a member of the organization. Supporting memberships are available for businesses and residents on a voluntary donation basis.

The Westside is comprised of approx. 7,800 households and 800 businesses, and is called the Westside Strategy Area by the City. Its boundaries are: I-25 on the east, Rio Grande St.on the south, city limits with Manitou Springs on the west, and Uintah, 19th, and King streets on the north.

The OWN officers and board members are all volunteers who work to represent you and the Westside community.

The OWN website is westsideneighbors.org
