Cleaning out your closet? Getting rid of excess items throughout your house? During the summer months, garage sales seem to be more popular. Remember to take advantage of resources available to you. OMCC?’s website has a community calendar where you can post the date of your garage sales. You just might have a better sale when others not in our neighborhood check out our website.

Please keep in mind the city of Houston?’s rules regarding garage sales: Only 2 days per year allow you to have a garage sale. If you have more than the allotted, it will be considered a business. Neighbors complain to the Civic Club when they see a garage sale every weekend at a particular home. Pictures are being taken again because of the complaints.

The signs that are left on poles throughout the neighborhood are being taken down and kept by the Civic Club to prove the point of a business being done at the address. Plan your garage sales accordingly.

Los vecinos le quejan al Club C?­vico cuando ven las mismas ventas de garaje cada fin de semana. Fotograf?­as se est?¡n tomando de nuevo a causa de estas quejas.

Los anuncios que se quedan en los postes se quitan y se guardan por el Club C?­vico para comprobar el punto de que un negocio esta tomando lugar en cierto domicilio. Planee su venta de garaje adecuadamente.
