That if you had this Newsletter delivered to your home, you are in part of the Eastern Area Community Planning Committee area? Did you know that every major construction project within this area goes before the Eastern Area Community Planning Committee BEFORE it goes in front of the City Council for approval? Did you know that sometimes it goes before the Eastern Area Community Planning Committee three or four times before it gets approved? Did you know that these meetings are open to the public and are a very "grass roots" operation? Did you know that if you signed in at three consecutive meetings that you will have the agenda mailed to you? Also by attending three consecutive meetings that you will be able to run for a voting position on the planning committee. Yes it will mean a little more time attending meetings, but look at all the things you will find out first hand. You will also be able to help keep out bad projects and redesign good ones. The meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 7.00 PM. The place is The church hall of Holy Spirit Church, 2755 55 Street. The hall is on the backside of the property. See you there!
