FIRST THINGS FIRST!
Our main priority at this point is to hold a neighborhood meeting. The PAL club at the Dunes Park has agreed to let us have it there.
Date: July 31st
Time: 7PM
There are many things to discuss at our neighborhood meeting! The main issues are who is interested in getting involved and should we have dues or not. Dues of only $5 a mo. would bring in approx. $12,000 a year! Think of what our subdivision sign can look like! Or how we could use that money to award good neighbors for their hard work. There are many possibilities!
IDEAS IN THE WORKS
If we put our heads and hearts together we can do more than just make our neighborhood clean and safe...we can make it fun!!
Sure, we can get the standard neighborhood programs going in full force, like
-Neighborhood Watch
-Clean it up, Green it up
-Regular Meetings, But we can also get programs going like
-A monthly newsletter
-Neighborhood celebrations
-Lawn care network
-Good Neighbor gift certificate award
WHY FORM AN ASSOCIATION?
There are MANY benefits to forming an association. Most importantly, forming a Neighborhood Association will protect and enhance our property values AND the integrity of community!! By working together to ensure that our neighborhood standards are maintained, we promote fellowship, make friends, and get to know each other!
GOOD NEIGHBOR RECOGNITION!
Thanks to Jessy & Glenda Harmon of Black Oak Trail for working so hard to spruce up Oak Point!!! They weeded & cleaned up the entrance getting it ready for planting! Thanks Jessy and Glenda for showing us a GREAT example of what good neighbors really are!
