ORHA Board has received more than one complaint this summer regarding the operation of off-road four wheelers, dirt bikes, go-carts, and other motorized scooters on neighborhood streets. Complaints have included riding without helmets, excessive speed and noise, racing, cutting across yards without permission, and failure to stop at stop signs. Safety issues have been raised for both the riders of these vehicles and for the drivers of automobiles. One concerned resident brought the matter to the attention of the Shelby County Sheriff?’s Office this summer, and increased patrols are possible in the future. Parents and riders, please use caution and discretion during the operation of these vehicles in the neighborhood. Thanks.
