About the Oakland Heights Planned Development

Oakland Heights is a gated community in northwest San Antonio. There are 260 lots with a prospective 258 homes and two common element lots used for playgrounds. There are three phases with Phase I on the east side of Vance Jackson and Phases II & III on the west side. Originally, Phase I was not gated but the members voted to have the developer, Encino Verde,Ltd. get the streets back from the City of San Antonio. Some homes were built by Pulte and David Weekley but the majority of the homes are by Highland Homes. The sales effort is complete and the membership has taken over the operation of the Association from the developer, Encino Verde, Ltd. The 2006-07 President is Johnny Matthews, Vice President is Ralph Perrotta, , Secretary is Roland Cavazos,
Treasurer is Tony Alba and Clark Royston is member at large, . The Association is managed by REOC Partners and our manager is Gloria Castaneda, who can be reached at (210)524-4000 during business hours.

About Oakland Heights Owners Association

Oakland Heights Owners Association, Inc. is a Texas non-profit corporation. It is headed by a Board of 5 Directors who are elected by the membership at the Annual Members Meeting in April. The membership in this association is automatic when a homeowner takes title to a home in the Oakland Heights Planned Unit Development. The annual assessment is currently $350.00 per year. The association manages the common area and oversees enforcement of deed restrictions on the subdivision. There are a number of committees such as the Covenants Committee which reviews the community to be sure that community standards are maintained. The Finance/Budget Committee reviewed expenditures and works up both the Operating and the Replacement Reserve Budget for Board approval. The Landscape and Safety Committee reviews the common area landscaping and the playground area and streets to be sure the community is safe for the members and their guests. The Communications Committee creates a newsletter, a Directory and other informational material for the members. The Social/Recreation Committee sets seasonal events and other programs such as community garage sales. The Community Manager is Rodney Herrera, 210-561-0606
