Frisbee Golf/Hoopes Park

Who are you, JV? Is your whole life involved in complaining?

There is absolutly no connection between fisbee golf at Hoopes Park and signage. Some people must have complained about the golf there, so the city must have responded. Isn't that what we all want - the city to listen to us? I didn't complain, but I sure am glad somebody did. Its a peacefull place now vs what it was before.

The city didn't just give up. They provided a place where this kind of activity is welcomed. It was not in any way a budget issue. If that was the case, it would have been far eaiser to just let the golf stuff be where it was instead of moving it.

I wonder if you have ever been to that park. Many families enjoy it. They have picnics there. Many are Mexicans. At least they speak Spanish. They are all very friendly and seem to be having a good time.

It is a very nice park. Three ramadas, two volley ball courts, a very nice play area for kids, lots of open space for whatever. I don't like the rocks in the water containment area, but I'm sure that seemed like a good idea at the time.

I don't know where you grew up, but where I did, one had to drive a ways to get to a park as good as this one, and this one is right here. And it is a very nice park and one that is well maintained.

Tell me, JV, what is it that you really don't like. The signage is a drop in the bucket. There is no way that it can be defended. Its one of those, ''I guess you had to be there'' things. If we tore all the signs down, would that make you happy? If the city told you that they would do all you asked for but they were going to raise your taxes to do so, would that make you happy? I doubt it. Apparently, the only thing you enjoy is complaining.

I attempted to be reasonable with you, but I don't think there is any way to be reasonable with an unreasonable person. I take back my invitation for you to attend our meetings. You would only disrupt people who are trying to make the best of what we are given.

Where do you live? Do you have weeds in your yard? Is your house well maintained? I want to inspect it to see how you can justify critisizing others who take the time to attempt to make this a nice place to live.

If you want frisbee golf at the park, why don't you ask for it? No. It is much easier to complain while you sit on your duff doing nothing. Judith did all of us a huge favor by organizing our neighborhood association, and she has kept it going despite people like you. If you think that is easy, try it.

It is always much eaiser to complain than to do something. In my experience, you are much more likely to succeed if you work at something than you are if you sit back and complain.

Maybe you just can't do more. Fine. Just get out of the way and let those who want to improve things try to do so.

You get the Neighbor of the year

Quick question ED.
If you think I am complaining, why are my neighbors where I live agree with me? Why are there others that agree with me here?

The post on the golf was sarcasm.

By the for everyone reading this, Ed no longer wants me to attend the next meeting! Wow, I throw out an argument that many people know I am right, and all the sudden I am the Sour Grape!
We should all get along

The park should be for everbody. All should be welcomed. Except for the drug adicts and gangs. Please let us all keep this in mind. I can't wait for a party in the park. I make the best ribs in the country. I'll donate my time and ribs!!
