NEW VFW ON OBETZ RD!!!!!

Posted in: Hamilton Highlands
I'd like to know some views on the sign just put up today, 01/08/08,on the property at Obetz & Idustrial Pky. I'm not happy at all about it. I feel our property value will be hurt, the wrecks from drinking & driving, that could go thru the yards of our neighbors, or worse they could go thru the homes there on Obetz Rd.Our kids safety, noise, just a number of problems we could have. Iam going to give Michael Coleman's addy herefor those whowant to mail him of this situation. thank you. www.coleman forcolumbus.com/contact

There are more people in THIS neighborhood that I fear more than some relaxed VETERANS down the road, living life after giving us FREEDOM! Maybe you should focus your worries on the cars going through THIS neighborhood about 30 miles an hour! How 'bout the groups of youngsters wondering aimlessly late at night in our Subdivision? Contact ''MIKE'' over that!

GOD BLESS OUR VETERANS............THEY'VE EARNED THE RIGHT TO DRINK AND BE HAPPY!!! MAYBE YOU SHOULD DO THE SAME!

As usual, IM sorry I EVEN felt you can discuss anything on this site!If you didnt agree fine, that's freedom also.I have NO problem with ''allowing'' Vets OR anyone else drink.(?)And Iam as worried about the nuts that rip thru our community, but, Im more worried of kids in our yards with people drunk & driving & coming thru the fences on Obetz Rd! It's not a matter of ANYONE'S freedom.... It
IS A MATTER OF POOR ZONING. So, come on have them in your back yard drinking, not in ours, driving!

From what I know about our Military clubs in the city, I don't believe they have a rowdy atmosphere. I don't think we really have anything to worry about, but if issues arise, we can contact the new VFW directly. I'm sure they're not going to want to be in the middle of 2 + large residential areas drawing much attention to themselves. I think they'll stay in line. We'll watch, listen and hopefully hear and see nothing out of the ordinary (short of some things we see now). I think it'll be fine. One real good thing about it being a Military Club, is they donate so much time and effort to the communities in our city. Who knows, we might even be able to contribute to their efforts through some possible future events! (AT LEAST IT'S NOT AN APARTMENT COMPLEX OR STRIP CLUB :) Have a great evening!
