If you received an unusally high water bill lately, the culprit could be one of your toilet water tanks. To check them, make sure the tank is filled, then shut off the water valve under the tank, check back in a couple of hours and if the tank is empty, then you have found your source.

Thanks for the reminder. I did receive a bigger bill last year and indeed it was the bathroom tank that was leaking. If people think this is minor, think again, it can cost you upwards of
$50.00 or more in one month, depending on how bad the leak is.
