I heard rumor that Shamrock Golf Course has been, or is being sold to a developer. I know the front part is green space.

Anyone else hear this?

I heard something similar. If you look at the township zoning:

It's labeled permanent green space but yet is colored yellow(residential)??

That would be a bummer to lose Shamrock. Hopefully it doesn't happen.

Answer to Rumor

I spoke with one of the Trustees, who has been in contact with Shamrock over this concern. From the response they received Shamrock owners have no intention to sell. In fact have started a golf course management company and are investing in other courses.

It is fact that the front part of the course is '' green space'', however this could change if through adjoining property purchases the green space could be replaced, or annexed to Powell. If annexed to Powell, all zoning by Liberty Township is void. This would have to take place by a developer purchasing property along Seldom Seen Road.

I have to believe this is unlikely to happen.

At this point Liberty Township knows nothing about any change or sale that is pending.
