Hello,

Just moved to BBF a few months ago and noticed this summer that numerous yards are really in poor shape. I've noticed a few yards which have weeds all throughout the yard which are over one foot in height. I'm not joking.

Aren't there some type of rule that indicate you must maintain your yards here? There is a homeowners association correct? Don't they ''police'' this?

Believe me , this subject has been beaten more times than Rodney King. You're right though, there are rules against this, but we have people in this neighborhood that have made it a mission of theirs, to make sure that people can do what they want with their lawns, no matter what. Probably members of the ACLU. Some people are just slobs and they are proud of it.

Thanks for responding. What a shame. When we were looking at houses, the growing season was just starting, and it was not as noticeable. But now - WOW -it's terrible. I figured the HOA could just tell them it was unsightly or something like that in hope they would clean it up. I guess paying dues and living in an area with restrictions doesn't mean much. What does the HOA do anyway?
