Not totally correct

Liberty Township has the golf course as dedicated green space for 90 more years. Liberty will most likely not have a meeting on this subject, as the developer would have to annex to Powell to get the zoning changed to residential. The developer would be meeting with Powell. We will need to watch both Liberty and Powell to see what is happening.

In the meantime, as an additional piece of information, to be able to annex to Powell, the golf course would have to be abutting Powell by at least 5% of its border. Most of the golf course abuts Big Bear and Wedgewood Park. I am not sure if they would even be able to buy enough houses on Seldom Seen to come up with the minimum of 5% that is needed to annex. Seldom Seen is the only chance of annexing.

I believe the poster ''not totally correct'' is right except for maybe one issue. If you look at the zoning map the front part of Shamrock is green space. This tract goes up to the 15th green which is at the end of Ireland Court. The back part is not zoned as Green Space. I don't think they can change the Green Space zoning unless they offer another piece of property that is the same size to replace the existing zoning. So it would be possible to build on the North part of the course if as explained they annex to Powell, buy buying the property on Seldom Seen.

Green Space

The entire golf course may change their green space zoning if they annex to Powell. The zoning of green space only stands if they stay in Liberty Township. If they were to annex to Powell, all Liberty restrictions may be lifted and the entire golf course may be built on.

I really do not think this is going to happen anyways, but we still need to watch for updates.
