To Kathy
Proxy votes are completely valid under our bylaws. And, if you had been paying attention you would have realized that the intent of the proxies was not to tilt the election.
Maybe you should go to Rickert and listen to the tape of the meeting to figure out what really happened. Apparently you missed some things.

Proxy Votes
You can twist it any way you want,it was underhanded. If people want to vote they should attend the meetings. Their only intent was to make sure the vote went their way.WHO are you trying to BS? It follows the MO of this group,do whatever they have to, to get their way.By defending them so much,it sounds like you are one of them.

Ringleader
Kathy,
You are fighting a battle with the ringleader of the group that previously disrupped the last meeting. Yes they have an agenda. For whatever reason they want to controll BBF. They oppose any candidate but their own. They will bring their Proxy votes and will probalby try to disrubt this meeting using '' Roberts Rules''. What BS. Who was it at the last meeting that so stood on '' Robers Rules''? I believe she was an outgoing trustee who wanted to have her way and have her time extended? I have to believe it is she who is so standing by her beloved '' Roberts Rules'' and fighting to keep any candidate from taking her place. What a selfish act!

The Few
The few did try to take over the meeting. Pure and simple. I was there and I was shocked by their tactics. if you want to suppor this fine. They basically insulted a very fine group of people who have tried to do their best for this community. The Trustees that were managing the meeting were put in a very difficult situation, Only because one of the Trustees was to have to leave. She is responsible for the problems at the last meeting. She brought her group to undermine the meeting. Beware they will be back at this meeting.
