Garage full of ''stuff''?

Posted in: Woodlake Estates
Yes the holidays are here, and thieves know cars may have more goodies in them this time of year. Park outside of your garage and you, too, may fall victim to vandalism or worse, as witnessed by the following recent reports from this week:

1. Car broken into on the Weymouths: Stolen items from glove compartment and console.
2. Car broken into on the Weymouths: interior ransacked with items missing.
3. Truck broken into on the Weymouths: interior rummaged through- nothing stolen....but someone was sure looking for something.
4. Car broken into on the Weymouths: various items stolen.

What's in YOUR Garage?

Websters defines 'Garage' as: ''n..an enclosed shelter for automotive vehicles; a business place where such vehicles are repaired, serviced, etc.'' What do you use your Garage for? If it's not used for two vehicles, maybe this thread will help you understand our biggest problem in Woodlake Estates. We get too many reports of theft and vandalism having to do with vehicles parked outside of garages, and we also get considerable complaints about vehicles parked in the street, blocking access or on driveways across sidewalks, which is illegal in Norman, and can be reported to the City Action Center (366-5396) or the Police desk (321-1600). Please help us cut down on reports of theft and complaints of walkers not being able to stay on the sidewalk, or restricted access/visibility due to street parking. And, help add to Norman's new proactive stance on code-enforcement by using the phone numbers above if you see violations. Comments from any viewpoint are welcome. And if you have more than two vehicles or overnight visitors, lock those car doors and do not leave a garage door opener inside the vehicle!
What is stuff worth?

Are cars, new and old, worth less than ''stuff'' which accumulates in garages? My gosh people get rid of the ''stuff''. Vandals and thieves are making you look bad and consequently Woodlake.
