Hot Water Heater Recall

Posted in: Meadowview
On our MeadowView email list we were alerted to 2/26 Times-Call article on recall by well-known manufacturers of a Drip Tube which causes fluctuations in heating temperatures. This effects hot water hearters installed from 1993-1996. Please access the website -- www.diptubesettlement.com or call 1-800-329-0561 for information about this recall.

Recall

If possible could anyone who has had experience with a plumber who repaired their hot heater heater contact me with a name and number. If possible please post on this site or my email mwirpsza@fri.com, otherwise my number is 303-682-1520. Thanks for any response.

Hot Water Heater Recall

Margaret, hello

You asked a question about plumber leads. I know that Steve Hirsh (on westside) ssh@dellnet.com has replaced his dip tube on his hot water heater and also a few other neighbors, but can't recall who right now. At our Eastside dinner party last week we discussed the problem. We have a State hot water heater installed by McStain in 1994, which is on the website list for recall. Access the website listed on my original post to the discussion list and download a form for replacement or call the 800 number.

We aren't experiencing significant hot water problems, but it is evident there is a slowing up happening. Keep watching this MeadowView website, will add more to it when I get time.
