My neighbor was telling me about a man that she has been seeing walking in the alley which also stares at her and makes her feel very uncomfortable. At first I thought maybe she was over exgatterating a little bit, until I witnessed it my self. About 3 nights ago, my dog started barking so I went to go look out the front window, there was a man staring into my neighbors car, not really looking to break in??? Very creepy, then he ran when my dog started barking somemore and saw me looking. Then the same night around 1:30 am, I was sitting at my computer and my front door knob started turning, the dog started barking and ran to the door. I looked out the window and looked to be the same man running down the street. My neighbor has repeatly asked our landlord to put up motion lights, but she doesnt think that is neccesary, which is so wrong!! It would be nice if the police did a patrol through the alleys also along with the streets, but that maybe asking too much?! So, just a warning along with all the others out on this site, lock your doors, and be careful.

Jamie - I'm right up the street, and, as you know, I'm out often with my dog, although not after 10 p.m. I'd really appreciate a description too. I'm worried about all the crime around here, and a bit concerned for myself, although my fairly big dog seems to make people go to the other side of the street when they see us.

Call Police about Creepy Man!!

I am happy to say it seems you may haved dodged what could have been a potentially tragic situation twice.
It is so important when this stuff happens you call police immediately!
Especially if you and this creepy guy eyed each other and low and behold someone is trying to get in your door later!

You really need to call 911, especially if you see or sense someone trying to get in your property or feel concerned or threatened and have had a creep hanging about.

In the mean time you probably still could email or call one of the Community Prosecution Team Officers from Police District 3 and let them know what's happening and has happened.

Your dog is a good barker and probably a deterrent somewhat, motion detectors are nice, but they will not help if someone gets in your place and hurts you.
