Conditions embarrass this lifelong Ohioan

After the Jan. 22 Dispatch article ''State of rust,'' I just had to send in a letter!
Ohio now has the great distinction of being one of the highest-tax states in the country, near the top in the number of bankruptcies and foreclosures and a leader in unemployment.
Ohio also has unscrupulous mortgage lenders with few laws to protect the unsuspecting homebuyer, homebuilders with unethical lending practices and, to sum it all up, unethical leadership.
No wonder crooked businesses survive here and no wonder many legitimate businesses refuse to come to Ohio to set up shop.
I have been an Ohioan all my life and now I feel like running, not walking, to the nearest border, but not to Michigan or Indiana.
It sounds like they are in the same boat!
