Hypocrisy 101

At the risk of sounding tiresome, OH PUHLEEZE!

Before any support for this hypocritical boor gains traction, let me remind the readers of a few things. Mr. Shaver, where were your complaints when you had all your ?“Shaverettes?” (yes, Sabatino hit the mark with that one) deluge this forum in 2003 and subsequent times after when you made a call for support? I was one of the ones you called upon to post in this forum to support your position. You say that for too long Pickerington has been the Wild West. I say nothing has changed. Still the same old egotistical political games as you claim our good friends Randy, Lou and Joyce played, but since you claim to be a good guy, all your vile politics are good politics?

Many rumors are based in fact. If you don?’t like the rumors, state the fact to refute them. Prove them false or shut up. This is America, your highness, and we have the right to free speech. Blogs such as this are the most prolific forum for the free exchange of ideas in our country. You also have the right to not read this if you believe it false. Please do us all the favor of staying away while the rest of us TRULY interested in good government communicate. Your interest in good government is to assure Shaverville remains Shaverville. It appears to be slipping away.

I hope you stay away but please allow one of your Shaverettes to expound on the anonymous packages to newspapers allusion. Since this is not the first time in your illustrious tenure that anonymous packages have been delivered involving you, we are curious. Even more curious is the FACT that the last package I remember being sent turned out to be factual, was it not? Given your sudden reappearance on this scene, is it safe to assume that this new package may also be factual and you are simply affecting some damage control up front? The last package was distributed by someone close to you. Was this one?

Mr. Shaver, you needn?’t defend Bruce Rigelman. He is perfectly capable of defending himself and has done so admirably. He doesn?’t stoop to your level. He presents lucid and rational arguments. He has suffered attacks for years on this site. He rose above the maelstrom and maintained his dignity and maintained the respect of the vast majority of the community. Don?’t do him the dishonor of associating yourself with him. He is too good a man to be saddled with insincere and suspect politicos such as any of the Shaverettes. His star continues to shine while the Shaverettes?’ dims.

Don?’t you ever get tired of defending your inner circle? Don?’t you ever ask yourself why you have to keep defending someone that is supposedly so innocent of everything? You?’re an attorney for goodness sake. If you were to defend a client weekly and appear in court with this person hanging on your arm week after week, wouldn?’t you or someone you trust start to ask why you keep at it? Don?’t you ever realize how much you sound exactly like Randy, Lou and Joyce defending your ever-diminishing list of allies?

More Hypocrisy

When you enter the public spotlight by seeking elected office, you voluntarily move into a glass house. All you say and do are there for the public to see and scrutinize. No one in the public forum has escaped this. Not one of the Shaverettes has escaped mention in this forum. Where is your dubious defense of them? The three councilmen you made it your mission to ostracize for the last two years have been front and center on the target range. Why have you never written this same posting to defend them? If they were attacked and ridiculed and you truly believed the words you wrote, why did you never defend them? What is different? Just because you don?’t agree with them, then it is OK to attack them?

I am no big fan of the three stooges the city suffered with on council but they deserve the same defense you offer to Bruce and Mrs. Riggs, do they not? Read back through these postings as I have done and ask yourself if they were treated fairly and respectfully.

Also I would ask that you read your words over closely. You ask for simple civility in political discourse. Practice what you preach hypocrite. Think of your unprovoked public attacks on any one of the three councilmen that were the minority of council the last two years. Think of your verbal assaults on residents during the public comments forum. Think of some of the things you said to the Maronda lawyers. Think of how you shamed and embarrassed the Shaverettes by not even trying to do what you are asking us to do. You are supposed to lead by example. It?’s a wonder we even have a city government with your style of leadership.

Quite frankly, your sudden empathy for Bruce and Mrs. Riggs rings hollow. Sorry, that dog doesn?’t bark. Practice what you preach. Don?’t condemn the anonymous posters in this forum because they speak out on your now little inner circle of Shaverettes. That circle is small and getting smaller by the day like a noose tightening around someone?’s neck. My guess is that many of these anonymous posters are close to you. Remember the axiom to keep your friends close but your enemies closer? You better be real careful who is close to you would be my advice. From what I hear outside this forum at the coffee shop, things will be changing real soon.

Slow day at City Hall, you mentally-deranged fool? The correct spelling is anonymous, not anaonymous, you idiot.

I understand why you, Mrs. Riggs and Mr. Rigelman are all in the same boat. You all have fits of uncontrollable rage and foam at the mouth. Get help.

Your Nazi regime will be over soon when the truth about you is exposed, just like when the truth came out about Rigelman ending his public career. What a laugh, running for judge.

As you read these postings keep in mind that you should not take these attacks personally, usually nothing other people say is because of you, it is because of themselves...these people are
dealing with their own feelings beliefs and opinions in this manner.

These people are trying to send poison to you and if you take it personally, then you take that poison and it becomes yours.
