I'm getting a failing math grade

You're Off More Than You Think

Your math is off more than you thought. Remember the State will rebate approximately half of the value of the bond issue.

Try to think of it this way--buy one elementary school, get one free!!

By the way, the actual growth figures exceed projections this year. The growth bigots are claiming growth is down because building permits in Pickerington and Violet TWP are down. In reality, builder stocked up on permits before the growth moratorium. If you look at the number of houses added to the tax rolls, you'll get a better picture. Growth is not down. If you think it is then call the state education office. They did their own count this fall. If you're right then someone is committing fraud and jail is indicated.

Not a 2-fer

I don't believe this is going to be a 2-for-1 special, as the two middle schools sorta were.

When the state kicked in for those, we went back to the end of the food line. We're gradually working our way forward, but I don't believe we're anywhere near the front.

So I don't think we should be counting on any state rebates this time outa the box. Hope I'm wrong, but I think I'm right.

State Building Fund

We're about 3 years from our turn again then we have a two year window to qualify projects. And qualifying projects like the elementary schools, land purchases, renovations, etc., are retroactive.

I'm not countin' on it. And even if the PLSD got the money, would there be any taxpayer relief? I doubt it. We've got to pay our own way, and we have to vote the levy up or down on that basis.
