My vote for County Commissioner is going to Mike Kiger. Two years ago, after Judy Shupe and Jon Myers sold us out for the sakes of their careers, Mike Kiger was the only one who was telling the public the truth. He actually listens to the people, which is rare in today's politics. Usually politician become just like Judy Shupe and Jon Myers, and look out only for themselves.

Steve Elsea is running against the wrong Commissioner. If he runs in two years against Shupe or Myers, he will have my vote. But not against Kiger.

It will also continue to keep the sheriffs department underfunded...and those home invasions will continue to spread.

Scare Tactics Won't Work

I am so tired of people saying I shouldn't vote for someone because of a connection to fox, maxey or whomever. Kiger has proven himself to be on the side of the public.

I'm more concerned about what the Shupe/Myers/Schaffer crowd are doing. They've been in office for a while now, and I can honestly say I've never been more concerned about the future of our state than I am now.

They want to hold onto power by scaring people. It won't work with me.

Two years ago Shupe and Myers kept telling us Kiger didn't know what he was talking about when he was warning us about a spending deficit. They get elected to office, and suddenly we need a special election for a sales tax, at voter expense, which was resoundly defeated.

I know all of the people involved - Shupe, Myers, Kiger and Elsea. My only problem with Elsea is his work on Blackwell's campaign. Other than that, like I said, I'll vote for him in two years against Shupe or Myers. In fact, I think Kiger and Elsea will be good to have together as County Commissioners.

More than anything, we need to get rid of Shupe and Myers.
