John Dolske recommended for elections board
LANCASTER - The Fairfield County Republican Party Executive Party has recommended John Dolske, 63, of Pickerington, to serve a four-year term on the Fairfield County Board of Elections to the Secretary of State.
The Board of Elections is comprised of two Democrats and two Republicans.
Dolske would replace Phil Crist, whose term expires on Feb. 28. Dolske's term would run from March 1 to Feb. 28, 2010.
Dolske's nomination now is forwarded to Ohio's Secretary of State, who accepts or rejects the nomination but historically appoints the party's recommended candidates.
The other Republican member of the Board of Elections is Republican Allan Reid and Democrats Fred Strawser and Dale Graham.
