I'm obviously still doing research on TeenScreen. I've been hearing things, and I'm not sure where to look to find the correct answers.

My question is this: do Ohio schools receive extra money for each ADHD diagnosis? I've heard the school districts each receive $400.00 for each kid with ADHD under the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA), but some states have passed laws against this. Is Ohio one of them?

I've asked Pickerington administrators and they all said the school does NOT receive any money for a diagnosis, but then a Reynoldsburg teacher said her school does.

If you know the answer one way or the other, could you post it and please point me to some documentation? I'm not yet skilled at finding answers to legal questions on the internet.

I've included my email address in case anyone wants to contact me privately.

Thanks!
Careful

Katelyn,

If they are not currently doing it..you probably just unleashed the beast to seek it.

Answer Will Be Coming Soon

Thanks to the people who emailed me with suggestions on how to find the information on whether or not the school receives extra money with each ADHD diagnosis. I now have a couple of leads I am following and I should have an answer to the question shortly, hopefully within the next couple of days.
