Misconception

Columbus can't take ''Columbus'' their school district is NOT contiguous with Pickerington's.

PLSD is separated from Columbus by Canal Winchester, Groveport & Reynoldsburg depending on what part of the boundary you are looking at.

Columbus never gave Pickerington that area - it has always belonged to the PLSD.

Pickerington could NOT be a part of the Win-Win you hear other districts speak of because their borders are not contiguous.
Boundaries touch

There was a mention on these postings that the Columbus City Schools district DID NOT TOUCH the PLSD boundaries. I belief that may have been wrong. The Columbus City Schools had an problem with Canal Winchester School district a few years ago and I believe Canal did give back some of their territory to Columbus. I have a friend that lives North of U. S 33 near Lehman Road and East of Gender and he says all of that is Columbus schools. I believe the Columbus School district extends all the way to Bowen Road and very near the PLSD boundaries if not abutting our boundaries very close. PLSD western boundary touches Bowen Road.
Development on Bowen & Lehman

Development on the corner of Bowen & Lehman goes to Canal Winchester Schools.

Which one are you talking about? I'm curious.
