Thanks Nimby!!
You have proven my point for me with that last comment.
You're an idiot.

Well, it goes to show
It goes to show that no matter the subject, people will resort to name calling and belittling. I assumed this thread would bring the results it has. NIMBY People want buses close to keep fuel costs down but ?– NIMBY. People want commercial development instead of residential but ?– NIMBY. People demand roadway improvements but ?– NIMBY. Maybe the topic of the week should have been ?“if NIMBY then where??” |

Nimby is a great example
Nimby has made several excellent points and has even gone so far as to prove some points that other people have posted on this site. The parents, students and staff of Central High school have tolerated the buses at the school for a very long time. The buses have brought a traffic boom, they have resulted in trash strewn all along the parking lots and road ways, and they have resulted in the destruction of lawns and trees that they school board has paid for. Will Peterman be sent a bill to clean up the trash and replace the trees and lawn. Don't hold your breath. If I were Nimby, I'd likely not want the buses at North either. But the fact of the matter is that the school board made the decision to put the bus facility near North. If they were to change their minds now, they would look as though they are still protecting the image of the ''Cash -vs- Trash'' in the district. Do I want the buses at Central? No. If I lived near North, would I want the buses there? No. Bottom line is that they must go somewhere and if it means that a dig mound at North must be removed in order to make room for a bus facility... I say bring in the earth movers and start digging.
