Real results!

Frankly, I am amazed! Posting to PATA really works!

Last week I posted a couple of comments regarding the bus facility planned for North. In my postings I mentioned that the buses currently parked at Central caused a traffic nightmare and that with the upcoming softball and baseball seasons, a parking issue as well.

Well, on Friday, half of the buses were relocated to the western parking lots at Central. At least the school board is listening a little it seems. Perhaps, they also have plans to force Peterman to replace the damaged trees and grass along with picking up the trash caused by the buses? Would that be too much to hope for?

Maybe the school board knows how to listen after all. Now if they could just listen to what the voters have to say about their levy ideas.

Awesome

That's great news but I would not advise you to hold your breath while waiting for the school board to listen to anything said here regarding levy advice. After all, they're the levy masterminds, right?

By the way, whatever happened to NIMBY? Didn't he/she like the responses to his request for opinion to the bus barn debate. Deal with it... the buses are headed for the Taj Mahal.
You're my heroine

Great Central Mom, you're wonderful. I worship you and PATA daily.

Now that the buses are parked on the west side, why don't you ask the board why they haven't considered purchasing that property next to that parking lot for a bus lot or other expansion possibility? It's what, about 10 acres or so? Considering how much parking lot drainage runs off onto that property why not drink what you bottle? Just think of the improved safety if purchasing and reutilizing that property was realized and the entrance to the central campus was moved away from that hill some and kids could actually see if cars were coming north before they pulled out rather than after?

Wait, let?’s keep going. Maybe you could become the next ?“Safety Homer?”. Isn?’t that stretch of Hill on the city?’s roadway improvement plan? Maybe they could consider an improvement to Hill that included safety at both the school and that street down in the bottom.

Sorry I sound so sarcastic. I just don?’t want those buses at north.
Makes no sense

Your proposal makes no sense. You are suggesting that we BUY more land for a bus facility, when we already have land at North to use? You can't be serious.

If the school board wishes to further alienate the voters, they should do what you suggest. If they want to win over the voters and prove that they are capable of listening, they should proceed with the already laid out plan to have the facility at North.

I've tried to come up with a better way of putting this... but your arguement for keeping the buses at Central rather than North is selfish and hypocritical. I'm sorry that you think that the precious Pickerington North High School is so much better than Pickerington Central.
