There has been a great many postings recently about the lack of confidence in our elected officials. No one entity (Township, City Council, School board or other office) seems immune. Perhaps the readers and posters of the PATA website could share some examples of individuals that held those offices in the past and did a good job for the community. Also, perhaps some opinions of future candidates could be shared.

What do you want here?
For the first time since you started topics of the week I am baffled. What string of conversation do you hope to get out of this? You say that you want ?….examples of individuals that?….. Do you want an example of what someone did or do you want a name of someone we think did a good job?
What do you hope to gain by dredging up the past? If we say ?“Billy Bob?” did a good job on council and a lot of people agree, do you think that Billy Bob will be drafted into action? Either in the city or in this big bad merger commission or what? If we say Mary Sue was a fantastic school board member, are we to expect the people there now to emulate her?
As to future candidates you already know the source. Jiffy Fix-it has the list of names and offices they will hold and when. You needn?’t debate it here. He has the approved list and that is that.

Do you know something?
While I too was a little baffled at the point of the topic this week... I'm blown away by your comments.
Do you know something that you'd like to share with the rest of us? Does Fix have that much control and power at City Hall? I'm going to need to ask... no, forget ask... insist that you either provide proof to your statements or retract them. This is the kind of nonsense that is causing this website to go downhill.
Frankly, I could care less about Fix. Didn't vote for him and would never vote for him. He strikes me as pretty much the same level as the stereo-typical used car salesman. I would not trust him for nothing. But I think that you are giving him a little too much credit.
