Another viewpoint
I too would like to respond to some of the comments quoted in this article. First to ?“the hell with you...?” Shaver I think saying nothing is going to happen in the future is short-sighted much like the way you approach your so-called service to this city. If you believe this, look into your crystal ball and tell me where YOU will be in two years. You wanted to be a councilman and then you didn?’t. You wanted to be mayor and how many times have you quit since? You wanted to be a judge but then you didn?’t. You wanted to be a big supporter of the police department when you had your hit and run accident but then you did and said the things you did when the same police department was duty bound to respond to the 911 call at your house. So tell us truly why you are guaranteeing nothing will happen in the future. Obviously you, Riggs, Fix and Smith have much higher aspirations then serving this little burg. This is simply your stepping stone. Perhaps after you all attain your goals and move on we will actually see some beneficial cooperation between the city and township and not just the political posturing you are demonstrating now.
Shaver, who are you saying ?“the hell with??” Are you saying the hell with council, the hell with the city, the hell with the township or the hell with it all? Be more specific. You and your posse mentioned above are so transparent in your motives. Obviously there is little to no gain for the city by entering into jedds with the township or you would just do it and tell us later. You are spending too much time posturing to have anything in the bank. Show us the money. Show us before you politicize this further how much the city is going to have to ante up to get dealt in the game. Tell us how much the township has to ante. Then tell us the stakes and how much each body can expect to get in return.
I ask your other blonde stooge quoted in the last paragraph about ?“evenly splitting the leftover revenues?”. For pity sakes woman, when was the last time you EVER heard of the township splitting ANYTHING with ANYONE evenly??? Call your buddy Mayor Jeff and ask him how EVEN the splits are between them and the township at Canal Pointe. Better yet, call Marsha Hall and ask her. Ask the even split of costs to start up the ceda and ask the even split of the returns.
