How Do I Know?
How do I know all this? You've got to be kidding. I did the research. Now I've only lived here 10 years but when I heard people complain about Central getting cheated I did my homework. I went back and read the BOE meeting minutes all the way back to the beginning. You can get them on-line or at the Public Library, or horrors! you could actually go the offices and look it up yourself. Try actually performing your duties as a citizen sometime. Be an informed voter not some vapid ''American Idol'' voter.
I also attend the BOE meetings. I was there the night they discussed in detail and voted on the Central stadium issue. In all honesty, I had forgotten part of it so I went on-line and got the full text of the issue not just the ballot synopsis. I take ''duty'' very seriously.
Liberty Twn, Violet Twn, Fairfield County and the Columbus Metro growth projections all say your wrong about growth in the Baltimore area. But have it your own way. Wait 5 years and spend $80,000 an acre for the same property instead of $25,000. Of course, then you'd have to stop saying the BOE never plans ahead and find some other falsehood to spew. Oh by the way, the BOE has publicly stated part of the site would include an eventual middle school.
RE the Central Stadium. My solution is even more radical. Tear it down and rename the North Stadium ''Pickerington Memorial Stadium'' or the ''Violet Glory Hole'' or whatever. Play all high school games there. My hometown had two high schools, one of 2800 kids and the other of 2500, and we shared a stadium. There wasn't any particular problem with scheduling. If an unavoidable conflict arose then one game was played Saturday.
But I grow weary of the whole business.
