Diley Town Center

Posted in: PATA

It's amazing what you can stumble on when searching the internet for stuff. I am very active in the group discussing the rezoning at Refugee Road and Pickerington Road. In my searches for information I came across the information to the left in the Our PDFs section. I contacted the PATA webmaster and asked them to post this hoping it would generate some discussion.

Has anyone out there heard of Diley Town Center? If this is something that has been in the works for a while (since it seems to be from October, 2005) why has it not been publicized more? Especially in light of all the press coverage of the rezoning case I mentioned above. Is this the location of the alleged Meijer Superstore? Is this in the PLSD? Is this a target area for a CEDA or JEDD by Canal, the township and the city?

How can we continue to divide, as a community, over an issue like the rezoning near PHS North and this development at Diley and 33 pass our notice? Isn?’t the Diley Town Center exactly the type and location for development that this community is striving for? The infrastructure is already in place! This is what we?’re trying to tell these trustees that they just don?’t get. Why can there be suitable development occurring at this location and very unsuitable development occurring a little more than 5 miles away?

All through this rezoning process I never saw any ulterior motives behind the trustees?’ support of the project. I didn?’t see any ulterior motives behind the city?’s support of the project. Now seeing this development on Diley Road I have to reassess my apparent naivety.

Keep Searching

If you can put this link together and follow it will show you the school district boundaries ?– of course this development is just south of PLSD. If you get an error ?– go to the main factfinder.census.gov and if you search enough you?’ll get the PLSD boundary map.

The ?‘Town Center?’ area is CEDA land that only Canal and the Township are involved in, not the city. What ?‘city support?’ for what project? You?’re not clear on what you?’re getting at.
Missing the BIG PICTURE

Look at the picture in the proposal. Note the number of unbuilt housing developments and numbers in each.

The shopping center is NOTHING compared to the houses.

Gee, do the troglodytes still think that Diley Road would be fine as a three land road?

By Holy Cow, Bob was Right...!!!!
