In the Times-Sun this morning I see where the Township Trustees are talking about a Rec. Center planned for and paid for by the City of Pickerington ''for the community''. The last I heard there was a church group or some body private raising money for a Recreation Center. When did the City get involved with paying for a Rec. Center? Who are these ''City Officials'' anyway? The last I heard the City can't pay the debt service on some of their debt and they are wanting to be overly generous with the community? On top of this the Trustees are going to make a list and tell the city what to build.
Truly David Shaver has become the Mayor of the Township.

Ground Hog day again
Yea; I feel like I am having a nightmare and I can't wake up. It the article to the left of Rec Center was the one about the JEDD. Why is Sabatino sounding so reasonable now? Even my wife said he just laid it all out there. I have gone back to bed three time this morning and I still can't wake up from this nightmare. What has happened to our trusted elected people that now are the ones proposing these crazy schemes? Then the trustees say if you buy into the 3.3 acre JEDD you can help them with the Wal-Mart. Does the City really think it is a good idea to be part of the Wal-Mart project? It takes me long enough now to get on I-70 in the mornings what kinds of delays will that cause?

If memory serves
I seem to recall in the articles on the capital facility plan the city put out that there was $18,000,000 in there of a rec center. Already township residents get to use all city facilites for free. We pay taxes for them and they don't. Now the Keith Smiths and Jef Fixes of the world are talking about proposing raising the income tax to 2% so we can yet pay more for what the township still gets for free. Now the mayor of the world wants to give the township our income tax from jedd agreements! Holy cow mayor, just annex the crap and keep the taxes to ourselves.
What part of cooperation means we have to give away the farm to get a single bale of hay?
