Is PATA flatlining?

Roadrunner,

Are you still out there? Are you still alive or did one of the Acme pyrotechnics finally get you?

Are you going to do anything or go anywhere with this site or is it on cruise control?

Was Coyote truly the force behind PATA?

Was there ever a Coyote AND Roadrunner or just one of you that had a split personality like some of our elected officials?

Has anyone contacted PATA lately to offer their assistance in replacing Coyote even if I myself consider him/her irreplaceable?

To the frequent users of this site, what do you think? Has PATA passed its prime? Should it ride off into the sunset in favor of blogs like www.oraclebrian.com? If it seems like the lights are on at PATA but no one is home, should it just become a fond memory of a website that served its purpose at the time but lived past its prime?

Coyote apparently left because he/she only wanted to maintain civility in discourse and that notion was flatly rejected. That sounds a lot like what Shaver tried to say in a posting below. Maybe Shaver was Coyote.

Civility rejected, chaos among elected officials and now the demise of probably the only person trying their guts out to keep this forum alive.

No one wins. We all lose.

It?’s up to you Roadrunner, I guess. I know that?’s unfortunate given your apparent lack of involvement or lack of heart or lack of stomach for this work.

We miss you Coyote?…?…
Coyote

You give Coyote a lot of credit, but for what? Yeah, he posted a ''Topic of the Week''. Anybody can do that.

As for Coyote leaving because he or she wanted to maintain civility, I also have a different take on that. Coyote could be as uncivil as anybody else on this site. Coyote seemed to have an agenda to promote two city councilmen to the exclusion of all other elected officials. When posters on this site figured it out and called him on it, he left.

You also want to promote one of these councilmen by diverting traffic from PATA to his blog.

PATA passed its prime several years ago. There's nobody who will hunt down documents, post them to this site, and then publish a newsletter to the residents informing them as to what's going on behind the scenes.

It doesn't seem to matter whether PATA has a Coyote or not. It does seem to matter quite a bit whether PATA has a ''front man'' or not, to do the work that was done years ago. I don't see that ever happening again.
Fair enough

Sure, anyone CAN post a topic of the week but who is? Central Mom did once. Other then that Coyote?’s seemed to mostly draw the best responses. I thought I could tell Roadrunner?’s because they were usually a lot longer and in my opinion tended to lean towards the two councilmen you refer to. Maybe that?’s just a perception on my part and your perception is that Coyote was leaning. To each his own.

I agree that Coyote could, at times, get a little abrasive. Is that the right word? I also think Coyote learned from the replies to those less than arbitrary postings and got more civilized. Hard to believe that a coyote let himself get taken out by a little mouse.

I wasn?’t intentionally promoting one councilman?’s blog, just letting the world know there are options out there. If other councilmen of other elected officials have started new blogs, please let us know. We can ?“promote?” them equally.

PATA may have passed its prime. Time will tell. Although looking at the Hit Report shows it still is a frequently read (perhaps not used) site. I agree that there is no behind the scenes action any more. I believe the reason for that is that no one will put their name to PATA. No one is willing to become the webmaster or the contact person. If that person came forward I can?’t help but believe that the sources of the past may again start telling PATA what is going on behind the scenes. Obviously, if the stories in here about all the secret meetings one councilman is having in Pickerington, and with township folks and with Canal Winchester council are even in part true, there are a LOT of tings happening behind the scenes.

Yosemite Pam made an offer to meet to do a little CPR on PATA. I wonder if she had any luck in getting people to the coffee shop to meet and greet. Pam, are you willing to be the front person for PATA? If you?’re willing to stick your neck on the line by wearing a Michigan hat here in Buckeye country, you are brave enough to be PATA ;-)
