My goodness, what have you people turned into?
THIS IS AN FREE FLOWING BLOG.
Just like your TV, if you are offended by the content change the channel.
If you don't want to be associated with it, fine.
I don't endorse baseless slander of our officials, but some of the complaints about postings I have seen lately are pure whine.

Dear Thick, why don't you start posting in your own name for a while, and see how you like what you get back? Then we'll see how thick-skinned you really are.
Why can't people use this site to objectively discuss local issues, without subjecting themselves to torrents of personal abuse? Why must people post here anonymously? Why does no one even want to serve on our local school board any more? I'd like some answers, Thick.

Very good and valid points.
First though, I did say in my post that I do not endorse baseless slander of our officials.
Yes, I would like to see this site used to objectivly discuss local issues.
Post in my own name? Not in Pickerington. I have witnessed first hand what happens to people in this community that dare to speak out. Not only have I witnessed it, I have experienced it.
Which brings us to your point about why no one wants to serve on our local school board. See above, but it doesn't just happen on this blog.
There was a ''tounge in cheek'' comment made by a regular poster that was admonished. While the choice of words probably wasn't the best, I believe the point was meant to illustrate the vindictive nature of some amoungst us.
By being thicker skinned I was NOT refering to the mean and slanderous comments, but to what I considered whining.
I should have been more clear as to my point.
