Perhaps someone from the royal court... also known as the Pickerington School board... could explain to us why the school administration nor the athletic department had any idea that pay to participate fess were going up this year?
This increase has been reported to the fall sports and other extracurriculars at pre-season meetings. Those making the announcements have no explanation for the increase. IN FACT... they are indicating that the school administrations were going on the assumption that there would be no increase since the issue had not been presented at meetings with school athletic directors nor other activity leaders. As it turns out, our illustrious school board took it upon themselves to make a motion (seemingly out of the blue) to increase the pay to play fees.
Yes dear friends, what we have here is yet one more example of this school board doing whatever, however and whenever the HELL they want to do regardless of the impact their decisions have on down the line. Now they're making decisions that seem to not only have no merit, but also with total disregard for the school administration, activity leaders or athletic directors.
How much longer are we going to tolerate this sort of nonsense from these people? Do they honestly expect the voters to trust them with millions of dollars in the form of a building levy when they cannot even be trusted to inform us of increased activity fees? Why do we not expect them to COMMUNICATE with those charged to run our schools?
