Behavior standards

I've started a new string in an attempt to respond to your question as to why a posting directed at you did not receive a warning or caution. If you recall the posting you wrote suggested violence (fire-bombing their home) may be taken against the user that wrote it. This is totally different from the posting suggesting that you ''have your head buried in the sand''. Frankly I am shocked that you would even make such a comparison.

To all PATA users -

Consider this my final word on the subject of posting threatening or otherwise inappropriate language on this post. I will delete them without so much as a seconds hesitation. I will then blow away your access to this site. That is a promise.

Thanks Coyote

Thanks for taking a stand. However I remember in your earlier posts that you said there is no correlation between someone's abilty to post (user account) and an anonymous posting.

In other words, if I set up an account to post using user name Joe Blow and an email account named Joe.Blow@hotmail.com I assume as webmaster you have the ability to view that somewhere. However if I posted anonymously as I am in this posting can you tell Joe Blow posted it?

While I am not signed up as Joe Blow, can you go ahead and kill my account for me? I prefer to go to blogs that you have to use your real name to post.

Thanks!!
I'm with Any Mouse

I'm with Any Mouse on this one. There seems to be a double standard going on here. If you say something against the Chosen Two, being Ted and Brian, you get blasted. If you say something against anyone else, all is well.

I personally thought the firebomb comment was funny. I guess some people can't take a joke. Pity.
Censoring

I have never posted a thing on this website and I am neither the mayor, a councilman, trustee or school board member. I do read the website almost daily and am continually surprised that the people the long time residents have made room for are so willing and anxious to ''close the gate'' on any newcomers and are so negative about our community and schools. That is not the reason for this posting, though.

I read the fire bomb post, but did not take it literally. I just felt that the author was trying to say, that anybody who posted something that was showing some thoughtfulness and some reasoning was going to be verbally blasted as so often happens.

I do agree with the webmaster that there are many things posted on here that are without good taste and often are slanderous and libelous. I really think that some of the accusations that have been made are almost as bad as the fire bombing posting, which, again, I would hope was never meant to be taken literally.
