I am voting for Ted
I only caught a small portion of the debate while sitting in a waiting room. However Mr. Blackwell started talking about how great things are in Colorado and he is still is on his TEL solution to everything. He is running for Governor not school board or Mayor. The next governor needs to worry about state spending not local spending. Using tunnel vision and the only plan you can come up with is to cut taxes to create jobs then you don't have a grasp on either the problem or the solution.
Ohio is sitting on more coal (in terms of energy) than what Saudi Arabia is sitting on. Yet we can't use it because it is high sulfur. In the last six months Ohio lost the bid for a coal gasification plant to Indiana. Do we need to partner with one of our universities to get the research off dead center and if we do what will that cost?
I am a Republican and I also believe that innovation and technology will grow given the right atmosphere. Gov. Taft did try to give some small grants to local companies but I do not think we have had one dollar in return. We are losing a large number of our college educated people and that will affect us for years to come. We need to turned that around.
I think for this state to survive in the future we need some huge investments into energy research and development. Energy will have a lasting effect of the country's future and this state future. Cutting taxes and waiting is getting old. We need some action now.
I will be voting for ''taxin'' Ted also.
